Cool recipe for noodles
so here's a recipe for food i cooked with my bf last night. It was totally improvised, so i will give you notes so its more edible. It was not edible when we did it,, but it tasted good so with one change it would be amazing
also, theres meat in it, but you can replace it with whatever you want. Everything except the chicken (and ig honey) is completely vegan. But real honey is better for the enviroment than substitute so if you want it vegan just stick to sugar.
Ingredients
Sauce
- Gochujang pase
- Soy Sauce
- Sugar and/or Honey (we used both but just one of them will do fine)
- Sesame oil
- Garlic
Noodles
- Chow mein noodles (you can use other ones if you like
- Chicken thigh (can use other meat, but if youre gonna do chicken, do thigh insted of breast)
- Chicken spice mix (we're polish so we operate on spice mixes lmao)
- Flour
- Vegeta? I don't remember if we used it but its always good
- Whatever fucking spices tbh
Preparing :3
Sauce
The sauce was pretty good, so you can use it for a bunch of shit :3
So basically what you wanna do is mix all the ingredients together.
- We put about a 100g of gochujang, which was too much, so add less. Add however much gochujang you think you can handle tbh. 50g if you like spicy food, 20g if not so much. if the sauce is too runny add starch while cooking
- We put 4 of those little soy sauce things from sushi takeout. Not the fishies, the squares. i think thats about 60 mL.
- Added about 50 mL of Sesame oil
- We added an unspecified amount of sugar and about a spoon of honey. I think putting more honey would help with the gochujang consistency problem. I mean the semi solid real honey, not the syrup fake honey.
- The sauce was smelling bad bc of the amount of gochujang we put, so we added some garlic. I mean it cant hurt. We put 2 cloves but put however much your heart desires
Finally Noodles
this was as i said improvised, so you can change and add stuff if you want. I think it would be good with some vegetables, but we didnt really have anything we would like. but this was reallyy good, just too spicy to be edible. sorry we're white. Okay let's do this!!
- Cut the meat into smaller pieces. We used i think 2 or 3 pieces of meat,, we took half of the meat, but some of it went to Louis and Kafka
- Idk what its called in English, but wrap the meat in flour and seasonings. like uh this: but smaller pieces and you dont need that much flour
- Fry the meat on a pan, we used sesame oil for it, but idk if it matters. We have an induction stove and we just put it on 9 so it went fast, but it burned a bit so I'd recommend lower heat.
- Cook the noodles. According to the uh instructions on the package. Do it while frying the meat :3 I mean you can do it after, but it will take longer. Doesnt really matter
- Now that everything is ready, put the noodles and sauce on the pan with the meat and stir fry it for a couple minutes
ENJOY!!!
If you didnt put more gochujang than you can handle, it should be delicious
Let me know if you try it and if you adjust the recipe in any way!
Ive made a version with like 20g of gochujang and it was delicious
